Due to the fact that Staff Council is in queue waiting on developments, observing completed activities, in the throws of elections, and resting on laurels, there isn’t much activity to report at this time.
Speaking of elections, we hope you are all aware at this point that election ballots have been distributed and we are awaiting the approaching deadline for voting which is next Friday, May 27. We have a large field of candidates from a wide variety of areas all over campus in all six EEO categories on our ballots. Please be sure to mark your ballot and send it back to us through campus mail before next Friday. Winning candidates will be announced at our June meeting. Their two year service term will begin in September after our August orientation meeting.
Please watch for an announcement from the Provost office about a week before our June meeting to learn what the agenda topics will be. As always, contact your Council representatives if you have questions, concerns, or comments.

Staff Council meetings are always open to all and are held monthly each second Tuesday at 10 am. The June meeting will be held in LBJ Student Center 3-3.1.
