Staff Council Corner

Staff Council is currently reviewing the new Staff Reduction in Force UPPS. There will be discussion about the new policy at our January 13th meeting with recommendations forwarded to John McBride, Director of Human Resources. In general, the policy outlines the steps that may be taken by the university to “retain the most productive employees in terms of job performance and job related work experience in light of adverse economic conditions, while at the same time ensuring compliance with EEO law.” In addition, Dr. Roseann Mandzuik will address the council regarding the Work/Life Task Force committee that she is currently chairing.

All Staff Council meeting agendas and minutes are posted on our website at www.txstate.edu/staffcouncil/. Also, Staff Council will soon be distributing posters on campus highlighting the mission and role of the council. All staff and interested parties are invited to attend our monthly meetings.
