Council Corner

Staff Council meetings are held on a monthly basis, on
the second Tuesday of each month from 10:00 a.m. until noon. We meet
in JCK 460, the Staff Development training room, and welcome all staff
members who are interested to attend our meetings. Notices about upcoming
meetings and topics to be addressed by Staff Council can be found on
our web site at <http://www.swt.edu/StaffCouncil>.
In an effort to improve communication between Staff Council and SWT
staff members, we are speeding up the process of distributing official
Staff Council meeting minutes. In the past, we always reviewed and approved
meeting minutes during the next meeting, which meant that our minutes
were always a month behind. Now, the Council reviews and approves minutes
through e-mail so they can be distributed more quickly after each meeting.
Minutes are distributed by e-mail to a list of staff members who have
indicated an interest in our activities - if you currently aren't receiving
our minutes but would like to, send a message to Debi Perkins at dp01@swt.edu
and she will add you to the distribution list. Minutes are also posted
on our web site, and we have minutes posted there back to 1996.
If you have a concern or issue to bring to Staff Council's attention,
call me or send a message to staff-council@swt.edu. We're waiting to
hear from you!
